The world debut of the new BMW 5 SERIES sedan marks the epitome of aesthetic design and driving pleasure in the world of premium midsize sedans.

Offering athletic and elegant styling, driving dynamics typical of BMW, exemplary fuel efficiency and innovative comfort and safety features, the sixth generation of BMW’s immensely successful executive sedan reflects the standards upheld by the world’s most successful manufacturer of premium cars and its suppliers alike.

The branch magazine AUTOMOBIL PRODUKTION describes the inception of the latest BMW 5 Series from the design phase to its production start at BMW’s especially modernised Dingolfing plant, and outlines the most important suppliers involved.

This special issue has been produced in close collaboration with BMW Board members and project team executives responsible for the 5 Series.
